Elena Benedetti

Elena graduated from the University of Trieste with a three-year degree as Biotechnological Laboratory Technician. Elena worked for 6 years in the molecular pathology field at the  International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology in Trieste and then moved to the materials science sector starting with a researcher position in Trieste in 2004. Elena managed specific product lines and publicly funded R&D projects and consultancy activities for private companies. Elena was appointed Technical Director and Business Unit Manager for the biobased materials business in companies in Europe and US, coordinating production, marketing, licensing and sales activities. Since September 2013, Elena manages Product Application at AEP Polymers.

Pietro Campaner

Pietro graduated in Chemistry in 2002 and, after two years experience as chemist in a biotechnology company, he earned his PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of Trieste in 2007. In 2008 he started his professional career as a research scientist in the field of polymeric materials derived from natural occurring renewable resources. After one year experience as QC manager in a pharmaceutical industry, in 2014 Pietro joined AEP Polymers as the head of New Development Products.

His skills are mainly related to the design, synthesis and functionalization, both stereo- and region-selective, of organic molecules, to their grafting on polymeric matrices and nano-particles, and to their characterization through spectroscopic, spectro-photometric and chromatographic techniques. He has a strong background in the extraction, characterization, functionalization of natural occurring renewable resources and their use as building-blocks for high-performance polymeric matrices for the field of composite materials and polyurethanes. He is author of fifteen articles published on international scientific journals and inventor of three patents.

Francesca Dinon

Francesca graduated in Chemistry from the University of Trieste and earned her PhD in Organic Chemistry from the same University. After a brief experience as academic researcher, Francesca started her professional career as research scientist for biotech and pharmaceutical companies, she then worked in the field of nanostructured materials acting also as a technical support for the sales department and customers. Francesca skills are mainly related to the design, synthesis and modification of organic molecules and macromolecules, carbon nanotubes and nanostructured materials and their characterization using the main analytical techniques. Francesca is co-author of twelve papers on international scientific journals and co-inventor of three patents. From September 2013, Francesca is Director of Product Development at AEP Polymers.

Andrea Minigher

Andrea graduated in Chemical Engineering from the University of Trieste and, after a two-years experience in the R&D department of a pharmaceutical company, in 2003 started his professional career as a researcher in the field of industrial polymers and composites. Andrea gained a considerable experience in the design and validation of polymeric formulations for industrial applications and in the manufacturing, processing and testing of composites. He also developed skills in the area of advanced materials, designing functional nanostructured systems and novel UV/IR radiation curable coatings.

As Head of the New Material Division, Andrea was responsible for R&D and consultancy activities and the technical and financial management of European, national and regional funded projects. Andrea also managed the development and optimization of products and related processes, with particular focus on biobased polymeric formulations and functional protective coatings. From September 2013 Andrea is Director of Business Development at AEP Polymers.
